ABOUT ERIN CHASE BLAKE: The South Dallas area presents Erin Blake, instructor,
clinician and trainer. Erin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine
Management at Post University in Waterbury, CT. She received her BHS and IGEQ
Certifications in 1995 at Brinsbury College in West Sussex, England. While abroad in
Europe, Erin had the honor of training under Olympic Gold Medalist, Jennie
Loriston-Clarke. Erin has also trained with Kim Walnes, David Broom, Anna Kingsbury,
Sue Horn, Linda Tellington-Jones, Walter Zettle, Wolfgang May, Jane Savoi and many
more.
Erin believes in the natural intelligence of the horse and the gifts he was born with. She
doesn't teach your horse how to do flying changes or the half pass. Your horse was
born knowing how to perform all the movements required in classical dressage. What
Erin aspires to accomplish in the training of the horse is education. "We educate the
horse on how to perform these instinctual movements on command by the rider. We
educate the horse on how to perfect his gifts through extension and collection. We don't
teach him anything! We educate him about how to do it when we ask and in which gear
we would like it executed." Erin Blake is firm in her classical education and its proven
system. "Classical is a loosely used term these days. If you are truly classically
educated(which takes years of schooling!), the correctness of your riding is based on
the knowledge of Physics, Kinesiology and Biomechanical formula. Classical riders
know how to get responses(not reactions) and without the use of force, but with the use
